Information

1Dosage form: Flowable concentrates for seed coating

2. Target pestsWheat, peanut, corn post-emergence pests such as aphids, planthoppers

3. The benefits of seed dressing:

a. Reduce the probability of rotten seeds, improve seed utilization and survival rate;

b. Control root pests and diseases, improve the control effect, and reduce uncertain losses caused by untimely control;

c. Improve the lodging resistance of crops. For example, thiamethoxam can effectively strengthen seedlings and promote root growth, thus improving the lodging resistance.

4. Advantages of certificate and product:

a. There are relatively few certificates in China;

b. Higher activity: The main metabolite of thiamethoxam in insects is clothianidin, which has higher affinity for insect acetylcholine receptor than thiamethoxam, so it has higher insecticidal activity; and the activity of hydroxylated metabolites of imidacloprid decreased;

c. Higher solubility: The solubility of thiamethoxam in water is 8 times that of imidacloprid, so even in arid environment, it will not affect the absorption of thiamethoxam by wheat. Studies have shown that in normal moist soil, thiamethoxam shows similar control effects as imidacloprid, but in drought conditions, it is significantly better than imidacloprid;

d. Low resistance: Imidacloprid has been on the market for nearly 30 years, and the drug resistance of pests has become increasingly serious. According to reports, brown planthopper, cotton aphid and Bradysia odoriphaga Yang et Zhang have developed resistance to it, but the risk of cross-resistance between thiamethoxam and imidacloprid on brown planthopper and cotton aphid is very low;

e. Enhance the stress resistance of crops and promote growth: Thiamethoxam has an incomparable advantage over other pesticides-promoting the development of roots and seedlings. Studies have shown that thiamethoxam can activate plant stress-resistant protein, and at the same time affect auxin, cytokinin, gibberellin, abscisic acid, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase and phenylalanine ammonia lyase in plants, thus making the stems and roots of crops more robust and enhancing stress-resistance ability;

f. Longer lasting period: Thiamethoxam has strong leaf conduction activity and root systemic, which is absorbed quickly and fully. When it is applied to soil or seeds, it is quickly absorbed by roots or newly-germinated seedlings, and transported to various parts through the xylem. It stays in plants for a long time and degrades slowly, and its degradation product clothianidin has a higher insecticidal activity, so thiamethoxam has a longer lasting period than imidacloprid.
