Emamectin benzoate has been successfully developed in 1980s and entered the Chinese market in the early 21st century because of its wide insecticidal spectrum, high control efficiency, high safety and wide application range (basically applicable to all crops). By the end of 2020, the number of domestic related certificates of emamectin benzoate has exceeded 1,000, and it is still growing.

With the spread of COVID-19, most of the global supply capacity is concentrated in China, and this situation will not change for a long time in the future.As the approaching Chinese New Year, the price of emamectin benzoate has risen from about 700,000 in the previous two months to 850,000 at present, and the price is keeping increasing, and nearly changing everyday and faster.

3. Matters needing attention

1. a. Try not to mix with chlorothalonil, mancozeb and other fungicides. If mixed, the dosage of emamectin benzoate should be increased appropriately.
2. b. Under the same circumstances, when resistance gradually develops, it can be mixed with pyrethroid products to improve the efficacy of emamectin benzoate.
3. c. Avoid using it in high temperature environments. If the temperature is too high, the emamectin benzoate concentration can be appropriately increased to ensure the efficacy.
4. d. Emamectin benzoate is harmful to beneficial insects such as bees, so try not to use it or reduce its concentration during flowering stage.
