Influenced by geographical and climatic factors, Dominican farmers like to grow cabbage.According to incomplete statistics, the area of cabbage planting in Dominica has reached 200,000 hectares, which was once the main crop in some areas.

With the increase of planting years, the pests such as Plutella xylostella on local cabbage are highly resistant to pesticides, and many compounds have mediocre effects, resulting in increased costs and reduced agricultural product quality and farmers’ income.

Major local chemicals

According to local customers, compounds such as spinosad, chlorfenapyr, fipronil, imidacloprid are severely resistant , and there is an urgent need to find new products to replace them in order to achieve the goal of improving quality and reducing costs.

Beginning in 2019, OASIS and Dominican Agroexito S.R.L jointly developed 12% emamectin benzoate+chlorfenapyr (2+10) SC to meet the urgent demand of farmers for products with higher cost performance. After a year's efforts, the first batch of products were obtained in August 2020 . Thanks to the efforts of Agroexito S.R.L, this product has opened up in the local cabbage market and won favorable comments from growers and downstream customers.
